Norma Farrell’s husband had died three years ago leaving her a wealthy woman but that didn’t stop her being thrifty. She seemed to have a soft spot for Dr Christian though he denied it to Judy. Whilst he is out some carnations are delivered from Norma with a request that he wear one for her. Dr Christian doesn’t see this note but then Mr Davis who arrives to see Dr Christian about a fishing trip suggests he wear one and then believing the flowers to be for Judy they have a discussion about the loves of Judy’s life. When Norma arrives at the Doctors surgery she understandably believes Dr Christian is wearing it for her and then in a misunderstanding believes he wants to marry her.
