The woman who peered out of the coach of the stage as it came to a stop before the usual, curious crowd in New Rock attracted quite a lot of attention. The crowd of men surged forward, and gaped anew as the coach door opened and Lena Cooper stepped out, dressed in the latest fashions of the day. Sheriff Tyler was quick to move forward and help her down the coach steps. Introducing herself as a respectable widow, he was especially thrilled to hear it, and when he saw her again later the same day, walking along the boardwalks with a lace parasol, he quickly left his office to assist her again.
