In 1826, a child was born who was destined to give the world some of its most beloved melodies. Steven Collins Foster, like many a composer, had a live of ups and downs. Sometimes prospering, sometimes starving. During one of his happier periods, he lived with his brother and while there, he wrote many of his most famous songs.
