Elderly aunt Mildred lays crumpled on the floor dead. Florence and Henry Jennings have killed her with an overdose of sleeping pills which they are planning  to pass off as a suicide. Henry calls the police to report the death and Florence wonders how she should act when the police arrive and what she should tell them. Henry and Florence discuss what they plan to say and since the police take so long to come Florence becomes quite stressed and irritable and their relationship comes under scrutiny.  Then Henry confesses that he didn't call the police as there was one little detail he didn't take care of and that detail was Florence.
