In the September of 1949, Edgar McCready gave instructions on caring for his ranch in his absence, hopped into his jeep with a Geiger counter, and drove off in the direction of the hills, to look for uranium, in the hope of increasing an already considerable fortune. By September of 1956, Edgar had not returned, and there was only one conclusion.
