The town of Weaverville has never been considered an art center but this week there is a potential Rembrandt in every home and paint flows like water for the local museum is sponsoring an amateur art contest with a prize of $500 and among those entering canvases is no less than our young hero’s landlady, Mrs Anderson. She has never painted before but she’s heard that if one had suffered, one had the makings of a great artist, and having lived with Dennis Day for three years she figured she was in!
