A new municipal legislation, requiring the registration of ex convicts with the police in Los Angeles is to come into effect from Thursday. Any person with a criminal record, will be guilty of a misdemeanor, if they have not registered with the police department when they migrate to Los Angeles. The police department believe this will discourage anyone from the underworld migrating to the area, and will therefore protect the law abiding citizens from future crime sprees.
