Walter Vincent a chemist who for 4 years he has been an employee of the Randell foundation for scientific research. In that time he has come to realize how wrong he was to elect science as a life work. Although he was diligent and accurate he lacked inventiveness and his wife carol has pointed out in no uncertain terms the long and fruitless road that lies ahead of him. And now in his life fate has given him a decision in which he will find his goal and his destruction.
