The Pine Ridge Grammar School has finally hired a teacher - Marian Sloane. Today we find that L Edwards, President of the School Board accompanied by Messrs Abner Peabody and Cedric Whehunt have gone to the county seat to meet the new teacher. As we look in on the railroad station at the county seat, we see Abner and Cedric standing near a weighing machine. Lum, who has been talking to a ticket agent, is approaching them.
