Albert detests his mother-in-law. She's forever insinuating that he mistreats his wife, Louise, who never comes to Albert's defense. Then, too, her visits last so long. Her last visit was particularly trying, and Albert was overjoyed when she finally left. Just as he's basking in this thought, Mother walks into the kitchen. She can't bear the thought of the horrors that she is sure Albert is inflicting on Louise, and she intends to keep an eye on things. "I've come back, Albert--and I'm staying for good." Oh, yeah? Albert thinks, and in a trice he's made sure that Mother will never come back to haunt him again. He stuffs her body in her trunk, and gets rid of it. But it comes back.
