When you’re a cow town lawyer like Chad Remmington there are several things that you’ve got to know and the least of them is law. The most of them is trouble. It was only a few weeks ago that he had a letter from Colonel Winfield an old friend of his father’s who’d settled a hundred or so miles away from his hometown in a place known as Varment Valley.
