In the living room of a small apartment in a section of New York City known as Chelsea, it was late at night, and the three people in the room seemed more occupied with their own thoughts than with each other... The three of them relocated to New York recently from Chicago, where they had been on the brink of capture over several stick-ups. Right now they're dreaming up a new system for stick-ups in New York, but they haven't counted on the New York detectives who will solve this system with the aid of a heroic taxi driver and a crossword puzzle.
