Nobody thought there was anything unusual about the trunk as it was checked in to the luggage room at Charring Cross station in London but then the owner of the trunk screwed up the receipt and dropped it on the floor. When he failed to come back for the trunk the porter called Scotland Yard whom made a grisly discovery.
