When Lum planned to kidnap Abner so that he might make a fake rescue in order to become a hero in the eyes of his fellow townsmen little did he realize the complications it might involve. While Abner is hiding over at Lum’s house taking life easy Lum is forced to join the many search parties that have been organized to scour the surrounding mountains in a futile effort to rescue the missing Abner.
