The Lone Ranger was riding towards Mudd Flats. In the entire West no town had a worse reputation which and though smaller than Dodge City it was filled with gamblers and crooks of every description. Honest people found difficulty making a living and as the sheriff had been elected by the town’s worst element there was little chance to correct the situation.
