Saturday night shortly before 10 o’clock a side street cab stand on the fringes of the city’s theatrical district, a tall man dressed entirely in grey detaches himself from the doorway of the shabby hotel where he has been loitering and approaches a taxi that has just moved up to the first place inline. He opens the door and asks to be taken to 132nd street.
