John Trent stared moodily into his glass at the end of the long bar. A voice that called his name startled him, since no-one knew him in Cheyenne, and he had only registered at the hotel a few minutes before. He turned and saw a young cowboy standing by the door. The young man immediately drew his weapon, accusing John of murdering his father. When the man opened fire, he had no choice but to fire back, shooting the boy dead. Two days later, when the jury ruled that the shooting was in self-defense, John Trent sat beside the Sheriff's desk - his elbows on his knees, and his head buried in his hands. The boy's father had been killed by a man named Trent - but it wasn't John...
