Lumbering along behind six horses, a big Butterfield overland stage approached Granite City. It carried only two passengers. One was an elderly, but sturdy man who introduced himself as Toby Durban, a stone mason. The other was the Lone Ranger, who had disguised himself as a traveling salesman in order to hunt down a group of bandits, who murdered all witnesses to their robberies.
