He had been a police officer for eight years and this was the first time he had ever had to draw his gun. He knew it was part of his job but he couldn’t get over the fact that he had killed two armed robbers even though he had saved the shop owner. To show his gratitude the shopkeeper Mr Sanchez gives the police officer and his wife the golden statue that the two robbers were trying to steal and tells them about the legend that is associated with the statue. It is said that whoever owns the statue will be granted three wishes. Mr Sanchez tells the policeman that he used the statue to wish to be saved from the robbers and it worked when he arrived.
