Gus Proctor met Brit Ponsett in Jackson. Gus was on his way to see his family, his wife Janet and his son Ted and was surprised to hear that his wife had died and his son was now living with her sister Amy. Gus was a gambler, a roamer who had always meant to settle down but deep inside he knew he could never be the father his son imagined.
