During the performance of an aria in a particular opera, a premier tenor loses his voice. The music-loving world views this as a tragedy, but no more, until, the next time that opera is performed, during that same aria, a sandbag falls. Each performance of the opera leads to some unfortunate occurrence, and only the Shadow can solve the mystery.
