Tom Verney applies for a personal secretary job in an advertising agency. He is going to see A.M. MacGregor but unbeknown to him MacGregor is a woman! She employs him right away and to help secure an account he has to be introduced as her fiancé to reassure the jealous wife of Mr French who is the advertising manager. Of course along the way MacGregor and Verney fall in love.
