There's no time to gossip on a busy switchboard and disclosing the details of calls to other people is a sincere no-no. But one operator seems to have time for both gossip and tale-telling and this is the story of one tale she just has to get off her chest. A professor needs a secretary but is so insistent on having a man take the post that when he is forced to hire a girl he insists she dress like a man... and from that moment on the girl dresses as a boy, takes a boy's name (to avoid answering awkward questions) and pretty much acts like a boy there on in but she finds that a dame acting like a guy 'aint gonna be all plain sailing.
