Bob Ferguson from Sussex lives in an old house called Cheeseman’s and calls upon Sherlock Holmes on behalf of a friend. His friend had married a Peruvian woman he met five years while on a trip to South America. She was very beautiful but there were sides of her character that were very alien to him. Of late she had come to show some peculiar traits and had been seen assaulting her young stepson and on one occasion the nursery nurse spotted her apparently biting her own baby’s neck leaving a mark and blood.
