Dan had looked after Ben for 9 years now ever since he was a boy of 5 years old and both his parents had died. When he was 19 Dan gave him a horse which he loved but one day while he was out a bad guy named Kirby Hunter came along and insisted on taking the horse leaving Dan no choice but to let him. Dan saw something in Ben’s eyes and hoped that Kirby Hunter would get killed before Ben grew in to a man.
