An investigation by the internal revenue had put Norman Maywood in the clear but Mrs Maywood believed her former husband was holding out war profit funds to evade tax payment and in spite of the fact that his books and accounts proved otherwise she still believed he was guilty. Norman Maywood is a very smart man but not too smart for Brit Reid of the Daily Sentinel.
