Strange For A Killer

Roy Gelesca is wanted for murder and the cops are staging a stakeout on a boarding house where Galesca is hiding out which means the street is closed. A man who lives on the street next door to the boarding house is trying to get home to his wife who has just had a baby. He calls his wife from the drugstore to let her know he is going to be late but by the tone of her voice he suspects that the murderer is holding her hostage.
