Set in 1844 this is a true story of a young boy named John Sager. According to the ways of his father Asa Sager living was very simple. He ploughed the meagre land that stretched behind the cabin he had built to house his wife and sons and daughters. He had nothing to give his family but the best that was in him and he tried to teach them to share each day’s adventure.
