You know Lum has become involved in the promotion of a fake silver mine and Squire Skimp the promoter has absconded with the money and left him to face the enraged stockholders. Lum has been hiding in Abner’s barn for the last few days fearing violence on the part of the investors. Yesterday Abner called them together and read a letter from Lum protesting his innocence.
