Richard Rogue received a call from Stark McVey in Mendon California. He didn’t say what it was about just that he wanted to talk to him about a case, a case that paid money and that he’d already wired him $500. McVey sounded anxious and asked Rogue to book in a to a hotel as a travelling man and not to let anyone in the town know who he was. However, when Rogue arrived in Mendon he discovered McVey had been shot, killed dead.
