George Stevens is traveling by train from New York to Chicago with a $200,000 gem called the Star of the Nile. His fellow passengers include the glamorous and very beautiful Helen Carew and the forever-adventurous Boston Blackie. During dinner the Star of the Nile goes missing and the finger is pointed at Boston Blackie. Unfortunately for Inspector Faraday Blackie has an alibi.
