Lux present the 1944 Paramount comedy hit Standing Room Only with Paulette Goddard and Fred MacMurray in their original screen roles Lee Stevens general manager of a toy factory and secretary Jane Rogers. Mr Stevens and his secretary are in Washington to seal a deal but with nowhere to stay Jane answers an ad for a cook and butler so that they can have a room for the night. They end up having to stay to work at a dinner party the Cromwell’s are giving and one of the guests is Mr Richie the man that Lee was coming to see!
