A stand-in is one of the little people of Hollywood. Somebody who merely stands in for the star, while the camera man is getting his focus, who never appears on the screen at all. But tonight a star is the stand-in with Joan Bennett playing the part and with Warner Baxter, a rather bewildered banker, to whom she teaches a few tricks of the trade.
