Nola Norton has gone to Chuck Williams’s apartment to pick up his gossip column for the Chronicle newspaper. But Chuck Williams doesn’t like Nola very much and fires her telling her to keep away from his editor Paul. A scuffle ensues on the balcony and Nola pushes Chuck to his death. It was judge and accidental fall by the authorities and in the months that follow Nola tries to forget that haunting moment…
