After the death of her father Lilly with her meagre possessions is on the train to Vienna to live with her aunt. Here she meets and falls in love with a poor artist Richard who inspired by her beauty sculpts a beautiful marble statue of her and names it the Song of Songs. Richard once tells her you should never love too much and because of his love for her he leaves Vienna so that the rich Baron Von Mitbach who also loves her can have her for his wife.
