Harry Cummings stood at the window of the general store he’d inherited from his father along with the goodwill that senior Cummings had built in the small fishing village of Bayville. Harry’s eyes followed the tiny wisps of fog before the approaching darkness. He smugly watched the fishing boats as they moved slowly out to sea both that were manned by people that looked up to Harry, respected him. Harry Cummings had used the well-earned reputation of his father to cover up his own lack of character and goaded secretly that he’d successfully fooled his fellow townsmen who looked upon him as an up and coming man. But the one thing he wanted most of all, the one thing he’d plotted and schemed for was still out of reach and has been for years…
