It's great ski country in the mountains around Knotty Pine. Folks come from near and far to try and break their necks on the dizzy slopes. It's not recommended for beginners to try and break in their skis around there, as the ski runs are for the experienced and quick thinking men and women and sometimes even they have trouble staying in one piece!
