Ellie is nearly 40 and invalided but feels that she has everything to live for. On the other hand her older sister Lydia who has looked after her all her life feels very differently. Ellie was always the pretty child the favorite and Lydia has given her life to look after Ellie and even the man she loved. Lydia buys a funeral casket and Ellie is afraid that her sister is going to die and leave her alone then after a quarrel Ellie suspects that Lydia has bought the casket because she plans to kill her.
