The Shower Bath Murder Case opens when Jim Raynes numbers racketeer was found poisoned in his bathroom. Philo Vance and district attorney know that the poison had been administered several hours before, that his wife was much younger than him and very attractive, that the dead man’s rival was Eddie Kayley and that he had a friend named George Marle. That’s all that they know but after turning the shower on Philo Vance is convinced he knows who committed the murder.
