The man locked up last night was a warranted man and needed escorting to Wichita to be tried fro two murders. Matt and Chester tie him up and put him on the next stage. The driver is really glad to have the Marshall and Chester along as he is also transporting a lot of gold. On a stopover some outlaws intent on stealing the gold fire them at and the driver is badly injured. Matt, Chester, their prisoner, the driver and two other passengers, a reverend and a kind lady are trapped in the stopover cabin with little water and food.
