Rocky Jordan receives a cordial invitation he cannot refuse from an old and true friend, a Dr. Wong lee where he witnesses an event he cannot easily forget. Shots ring out and a man lies dead on the floor, shot three times at point-blank range... and Jordan had a ringside seat to it all!
With only one course of action left to him Rocky recounts the confusing story to Captain Sam Sabaaya the chief of police who is as confused by this crime as anyone... anyone that is except the owner of The Cafe Tambourine who it seems gave a rain-check to a card game in favor of an invite to witness a murder!
