It is written, “when men are innocent laws are unnecessary, when men are corrupt laws are useless.” It stands to reason therefore that laws are intended for that great mass of us who are in the middle, neither completely innocent nor entirely free of corruption. It’s a a subtle philosophical point and there are times when Charles Farnsworth would enjoy discussing it over a drink and a roaring fire, however this is not one of those times as for the last two hours Charles Farnsworth has been fighting for his life as he has to crash land his aeroplane after struggling in a storm. He finds that he has landed on an island named Bennett Island and ruled by Frank Bennett who is a great believer in laws and capital punishment.
