Based on the American Weekly article "Was the Woman Beautiful To Be Loved" this drama follows the story of Sally the 'ugly duckling' of her family who surely is far too plain to find a husband. Sally the 'funny looking stenographer' works for a playwright harangued by constant editorial changes from his producer and in that this radio-fable of money, power, influence and attraction it seems that it's easy to 'see' who the ugly ones are.
