Safety In Numbers

It was a calm night, almost too calm with a thick mist hanging low over the ocean. In the distance the occasional wail of a foghorn on the Mexican coast a cold lonely sound made Irene Thorpe glad his arms were around her thankful over and over again that there was someone in the world like Martin Cougar. She was glad that there was someone to turn to during the long maddening years since her husband Tom Thorpe and his partner Sam Romano towed the gambling ship Golden Chance in to Mexican waters.
