To a great many people, a long trip on a train is a pleasure, but to Si and Elmer it's something else. Riding the Chicago Limiter down the trail of bank robbers who have supposedly left Punkenville for Chicago. The correspondence school detectives have had trouble in the dining car, trouble trying to get to bed in their respective births, and now to add to the confusion, Elmer has discovered that their porter has been changed and the man in charge of their car is now a white man covered with burnt cork.
