The American Railroad Association presents a review of 1953. As the year comes to an end Gordon MacRae and his special guest from the Metropolitan Opera, Miss Dorothy Kirsten sing the songs made popular through the year. The program opens with a song from Irving Berlin's score of Miss Liberty, Let's Take An Old Fashioned Walk.

Joining the party later on in the show is a surprise guest visit from one of the greatest men of the musical theater, Mr Otto Harbach. 

The show finishes with a song from Carousel by Rodgers and Hammerstein, You'll Never Walk Alone.
