A man asks Sailor and Slate to direct them to the home of John Bradford. Then Sailor and Slate help a woman who is wandering on the beach in a mink coat in the heat and in a dazed and confused state. They discover the woman is Velma Bradford and she has a blood-covered knife in her pocket. They take her home and are greeted by the police and her dead husband.
