Lum is still missing, and Abner has given up all hope of his partner ever returning. In fact, he has rented Lum's house to Widow Jessop, and today he is giving away all of Lum's clothes and belongings. As we look in on the little community today, we find Abner, Cedric and Mousey Gray in the little store and library. Mousey is trying on one of Lum's hats.
