Armand Darcy is a theatre critic who was once in love with the most beautiful and famous actress Eloise Chauvenier but he left her and it is the one regret in his life. At the same time she quit acting at the height of her career and has not been heard of since. Then Darcy spots a dance girl in a production and sees that she is the double of his lost love Eloise. He discovers that she is Eloise’s daughter and he wants to help her any way he can to further her acting career.
