Jim Bradley arrives in Riversend all grown up now, and on a journalistic assignment. He is planning to write an article on a local resident Dr Patterson who has achieved some pioneering research in mental health. However Jim Bradley is planning to write a sensational story on how Dr Patterson got in to psychiatry as he knew all the gossip on Dr Patterson from his time growing up in Riversend. Bradley is planning to dig up the dirt and print it in his big city newspaper. Dr Christian is determined to make him change his mind and invites him to dinner  along with Judy and Dr Patterson.
